A Recent TYL Job
Dumfries Multifamily Roofing Project
TYL was contracted to reroof seven buildings of a multifamily neighborhood in Dumfries, Virginia. We finished the job within two weeks and the finished product is beautiful. Both the residents and the property manager are thrilled with the results. Such an awesome project! Check out this great video detailing the job!
Team Updates
CVHR Horse Farm Rehab
Earlier this fall, TYL volunteered to replace over 300 yards of fencing and reinforce the hay barn of the Central Viriginia Horse Rescue. The CVHR takes in abandoned and abused horses. It was a hard few weeks of preparation, planning and work, but very rewarding. We are so glad that because of our work, the farm now has a safe place to store their hay and the horses have more pasture room!
Spooky Season Fun!
Safe Alternatives to Trick or Treating this Season!
- A Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt is a great way to get out of the house while still keeping the kiddos safe. Make it extra spooky by decorating your backyard for Halloween and incorporating some of your favorite scary stories into the hunt. Click here for a great list of ideas.
- Mysterious Treat Giving– Instead of having kids go house to house this year, let the treats come to them. Coordinate with other families in the neighborhood and have everyone drop off treats at each other’s houses. This will prolong the fun Halloween spirit, and the kids can have fun wrapping up treat bags for the rest of the neighborhood.
- A Halloween Themed Piñata is the perfect combination of candy, exercise and fun! Let the little ones get their energy out by hitting a piñata while hilarity ensues. Cheap piñatas can be found at any party store!
Potomac Watershed Cleanup
TYL partnered up with CAI and First Service to clean up the Potomac! For the morning of Saturday, Sept. 26th, the TYL team came out in force to clean up trash from the banks of the Potomac Watershed. Tons of fun was had all around!
