Charity Walkway Replacement

Charity Walkway Replacement in Montpelier, VA

11/2019

Every quarter, TYL takes on a volunteer project in order to give back to the local community. Spring of 2020, our volunteer project consisted of an accessibility ramp rebuild. TYL first heard about the project after our commercial construction manager saw a segment on NBC12, where Diane Walker, a local news anchor, highlighted a few local families who were in need. TYL applied to do the work and we were chosen based on our strong online reviews and A+ BBB rating.

The family in question was a and daughter who desperately needed their accessibility ramp to be replaced as it was becoming hazardous for them to enter or exit their home. The TYL team replaced this 50-foot ramp, free of charge, and built the women a small porch on the back of the house so that they could enjoy the fresh air.

NBC12 covered the story and you can watch it by clicking this link. The porch and the ramp turned out beautifully and we were happy to step in and assist members of our local community
